I wanted to comment on what great service I receive every time I have an appointment. I was going to Seema for a Brazilian wax for about a year, when I then took a break and didn't go for a few months. I was with a friend and realized that I needed to get waxed. She talked me into going to her waxer, who happened to be cheaper. I guess it is true, "you get what you pay for". The quality of service was not half of the service you receive from Seema. Also, I had so many ingrown hairs from the new place, something that doesn't happen with Seema. She was so great when I returned. She gave me tons of advice on how to clear up my skin. I have been following her advice and I can tell you she knows what she is talking about. I would not hesitate to send everyone I know to her. Annie

Hassan's facials are the best in San Francisco...perhaps the world. It starts with his products. Hand-made by him. I started using his regime 6 mos ago and will never go back. But, the facial. It's outstanding. Part massage, stimulant and part pampering treatment. It's a wonderful hour to spend and your skin will never look better. Try it,...it's a must. Kristin

I only met this lovely couple for 10 minutes (she did under arm wax and eyebrow threading in those 10 minutes) but i fell in love with them. They seemed so sweet and nice and kind and caring. AMAZING!  Not only do my eyebrows look awesome, but my skin is a million times better than i have ever seen it. I admit, i am a smoker which is a big no for skin, but they have managed to put my skin under control as well as improve it's natural radiance that smoking has been covering up.  On top of this, i had a huge cut on my cheek that would've taken weeks to heal, but i bought one of their products and within one day it's size and appearance went down drastically...healed completely in less than three weeks and no scar! I recommend this place everyone, even if you don't have problematic skin. Jalebi

Was actually referred to Seema by another shop because they said she was the best with threading the brows....They were 100% right. I think she is a great person as well as amazing at what she does. I had the most problematic skin ever but there is a dramatic change in my skin texture. The services offered have been very personalized. The treatments given to me have depended on my skin type at that moment. I haven't had such a comfortable skin type for the past 15 yrs. I feel great so I look great thanks to Hassan who is extremely passionate about his work & it makes me feel secure that my skin is in the hands of a person who also cares about it. I also get my waxing & threading done by Seema. She really has a knack for it. I have been to several places & had painful experiences but I am really content with her work. She's also very well trained in facials. I highly recommend going to the spa. I'm sure once you go, you'll never need to try some one again...Mahajan.

I happen to live next door to the Union St. Apothecary and love coming home everyday to the relaxing smell of their shop. I was in desperate need of a waxing and decided that I wanted to go all the way with a Brazilian.  Having heard great things about their eyebrow threading I decided to walk next door and see if there were any spots open.  Seema greeted me with a nice smile and said she could fit me in at that moment.  Off I went into the back, a little nervous for the pain but Seema made me as comfortable as can be and although it did hurt a little (naturally) it was much better than my first experience.  She's really good at getting it all off in one sweep.  And I haven't had any problem with the grow back nor was my skin irritated afterwards.  I am now going to go there for all my waxing and maybe I'll even try the threading for my brows. I encourage everyone to go here!  I found the prices to be pretty reasonable too......Courtney

Seema is my savior. I have been seeing her for over a year and am amazed at how good my face can look after she performs her eyebrow threading wonders. Should have come in sooner being that I work 2 doors down. After walking by it so many times I decided to make a facial appointment. The owner/chemist/esthetician/GURU/miracle worker first looked at my skin and evaluated what facial I should have. The facial was amazing my face felt so fresh and clean. Since he is a chemist he knows what mixture of ingredients work for the different kinds of skin types/problems and therefore can derive a unique treatment. He asked me what kind of products I had been using and he said to bring them in to see what ingredients where in them. The next day I brought over my 6-7 products that I was told to use at the clinique counter and he said that they would do nothing for me and that I really only needed about half those products anyways. Once I was done with my clinique products I went back to Hassan and he gave me 3 little miracle products that worked great from the start. I see major improvement in my skin and will never try anything else ever again. Evelyn

Seema is unbelievable at threading and waxing. Eye brow threading only takes a few minutes and she truly is a wiz at waxing. Within 30 minutes I am out of the shop virtually pain free and she and her husband do everything they possibly can to make your experience comfortable and quick.  I've tried a ton of places in the city and Union Street Apothecary is really a diamond in the rough! All, I can say about this wonderful place is that since I have been using their unique products and one of a kind, my skin has never been so amazing! Seema and Hassan really know skin, and if you need any evaluation for a skin product do not hesitate to stop and ask the next time you are in San Francisco! Make sure to try one of Hassan’s Facial I am sure you will walk out of there looking at least 5 years younger, or if not you will at least feel like you are! Also its been heard that Seema does the best brows in town! When it comes to Skin, this place has the magic touch and magic potions sure to make anyone’s skin glow! Erika
